Terms of Service

Welcome to InShort. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the InShort mobile application (the “App”) operated by Hapiga (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Use of the Service

InShort provides book summaries for educational and informational purposes. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the App
  • Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account and use the App.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free and Premium Access

InShort offers both free and premium content. Some summaries require a premium subscription.

Subscription Terms

  • Subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase

Managing Your Subscription

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

Refunds

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

All book summaries, text, graphics, logos, and other content in the App are owned by Hapiga or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

No Substitute for Original Works

Our summaries are intended as educational aids and are not substitutes for reading the original books. We encourage you to purchase and read the full works.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the App in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for your use of the App.

6. Termination

By You

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through the App settings.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

7. Disclaimers

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The content is accurate, complete, or current
  • The App will meet your requirements

Book summaries represent our interpretation and may not capture all nuances of the original works.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HAPIGA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Vietnam.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
